10 Hikes in Utah Valley.

Bridal veil falls
These beautiful falls look like a bridal veil, hence the name. The water is too cold to swim in the winter but in the summer, unless you don't want to get cold, the water is swimmable. Keep children away from the River as you cannot swim in that. Hikes to the top are definitely to steep for small children.

Stewart falls

This 2 mile hike takes you up into the sundance canyon following the north fork of the Provo River up to where it cascades down Timpanogas mountain. There are some steep parts but none unsuitable for children.  The water is really cold so you wouldn't wan't to go swimming. Towards the end there are some stinging nettle plants o don't play in the bushes

Spanish Fork Springs
A four mile hike that is suitable for 8+ years. If you have an especially hardy child this is a really good hike. The first visible hot springs are kiddy safe, but as you get up higher the hotter it gets.

American fork springs
going up into a forest, this three mile hike is good for kidies. Have fun playing in hot springs.

Hike up Timpanogas
this is definetely not for children. Hardcore backpackers do this. Do not climb with children, this is a several night trip.

Timpanogas cave
This not so much of a hike rather then a walk around a cave. Children afraid of the dark should not come.
Hike to the Y
stick to the path, but this hike is good for 10+ year olds. This five mile hike will take you up to the Y on Y-mountain.

Rock canyon Hike
This will take you up the rock canyon showing you amazing evidence of tectonic movement. There is an old mine that was blocked of with stone. Now it is just a cave and perfectly safe.

Rock Climbing

I like rock climbing a lot. Here in Provo we have a wonderful inside climbing gym called the Quarry. The Quarry  has a wonderful gym with three types of climbing.Top rope, Lead, and Bolder. All three very wonderful and super fun. Although it is fun, interesting, and challenging, sometimes going to the Quarry is hard and expensive so I also like going climbing outside. I have been climbing outside over five times and it is incredible being outside climbing the challenging climbs. When I first went climbing outside I thought we were going to be free climbing which made me not want to go. In the end I learned that it is incredible to climb outside.

Classic Skating

Classic Skating in Orem is totally awesome place to go on your free time. I really like it and recommend for you to go there. It is an arcade, roller skating heaven. In the middle of the rink there is tons of huge blow-ups that you can play on and watch the skaters zoom past you. It has water slides and a lot more things that you can play on or watch I love it and I think you will to.
